Sony Walkman B100 Announced

To complete the walkman series, Sony recently announced the new Sony Walkman NWZ-B100, a very interesting MP3 player, not as great as the S610, but still very notable. The B100 comes with a three line LCD color display that shows the currently playing tracks and the player’s functions. It supports WMA and MP3 files together with being compatible with PlayForSure. What we saw and is not that common is the integrated FM Tuner that comes with 30 stations presets and the MP3 player can also record radio broadcasts. The Sony Walkman B100 has a built-in microphone that allows audio recording. Its battery can play 12 hours of audio on one charge and can be charged via USB interface. Sony will launch two models in the B100 series. They will have different storage sizes and range of colors. Chetz, of Slippery Brick declared:
“The NWZ-B103F holds 1GB, comes in only black and will retail for about $60. The NWZ-B105F has double the capacity at 2GB, double the colors (black or white) and will go for around $80. Both are available for pre-order now from SonyStyle and are expected to ship on September 2.”
The downside to the B100 line is that it can be classified under the regular MP3 players. It has no special features and is not that different than what the competition is offering. It does offer high quality and technology levels that stand true to the Sony brand bad still, nothing really special here.
