Magellan’s MobileMapper CX GPS
GPS technology is currently evolving but they all need one thing: getting data from some location. Magellan comes to the table with a possible answer for this problem with their MobileMapper CX GPS. This is a CX that is both Bluetooth and WiFi enabled and can connect to remote databases, other units and even browse the Internet. At a first look you get the idea that it is a mobile phone but this is just a design choice aimed at making mapmakers and surveyors log data with ease. The CX runs on WinCE 5.0, on open version that according to Magellan is easy to develop for. This device also has expansion properties thanks to a SD memory slot. We do not know the price yet nor any word has been released concerning availability.
