Panasonic and AT&T offer Toughbook with 3g AT&T BroadbandConnect

Toughbook 30

The Toughbook-30 and Toughbook-19 convertible tables by Panasonic are now linked with the 3G AT&T BroadbandConnect data network. We can witness an alliance between AT&T and Panasonic that announces the full certification and availability of the two models on UMTS/HSDPA-based 3G. To make things even better, the announcement also comes with an offer aimed at making it more convenient for users to buy Panasonic ToughBook mobile computers and AT&T services through sales relationship and combined marketing towards different applications and industries. We are talking about public safety, transporting, utilities and more. These two companies have offered combined 3G wireless solutions ever since 2005 so it is no surprise that this close collaboration leads to high performance data solutions for many costumers that might need it. With the new combination, Toughbook notebooks come with mobile broadband access in 165 major metropolitan locations in the USA and global wireless data capability is available through HSDPA-UMTS, together with EDGE or GPRS services in around 135 countries thanks to international data plans by AT&T. All this sums up to 3G BroadbandConnect and EDGE networks access for Toughbook notebooks in around 13,000 cities.

So, we have an interesting solution at hand. We still do not know the official prices but the Toughbook notebook and built in AT&T 3G BroadbandConnect services will sell for around $3,800 for the Toughbook 19 and $3,900 for the Toughbook 30.
