China Internet Censorship Details Revealed

The entire process that brings Internet censorship in China is filled with bureaucracy. We all know that and we also know of reports that say around 30 to 40 thousand web sites have been censored and the number is constantly rising. This definitely means that there are different individuals behind this. Well, it seems that some information was leaked concerning this topic. I was surprised to find out that there are different agencies responsible for different types of censorship. In total we have 3 agencies responsible for this: the Internet Propaganda Administrative Bureau, the Bureau of Information and Public Opinion and the Internet Bureau. We also have the Beijing Internet Information Administrative Bureau that strictly handles Internet firms in the city. It is actually very interesting to see how Internet Censorship works in China.

Teleportation - Still A Long Way

Three years ago scientists managed to successfully teleport a quantum state of an atom. This was done after understanding quantum entanglement happened around 6 years ago. So we need to think if we are anywhere nearer teleportation than three years ago. Well, scientists have been focusing on trying to teleport the atomic state of the atom in a different location but it seems that the destruction of the original atom does not create the copy we want. Charles Bennett, IBM Research stated:

”….the teleported person would end up slightly different, but not in a biologically important way.”

We must realize that teleportation is still a long way from happeneing as the human body is made out of around 1028 atoms and we can not even think about the possibility of such large scale destruction and reproduction. It does look like we will not see teleportation in real life, in this lifetime.

Motorola’s U9 Get Official

Motorola U9

Motorola just announced the launch of their U9 mobile phone. This is basically an extension of the PEBL, much like V8 is to the original RAZR. We have here an interesting cell phone that comes with the lovely CrystalTalk noise reduction technology, a 2 megapixel camera and the possibility of including a microSD memory card. It is interesting to see that we have support for Windows Media Player 11 in combination with MP3, WMA, AAC, AAC+ and we can also notice stereo Bluetooth support. We are also hit with touch sensitive controls that are quite nice and the Motorola U9 is scheduled to appear in Asia, Europe and Latin America in the last quarter of the year. As you might have already figured out, there is no talk of a North America release plan.
